Choreographer, general director and co-founder of SALLY Dance Company Maastricht
In 2006, Ronald Wintjens (1972), a native of Limburg, founded the SALLY Dance Company Maastricht (formerly known as Project Sally) together with Stefan Ernst. Collaborating together, they created a great many exceptional dance productions, dance education projects, and dance films. His own special brand of entrepreneurship allows him to ensure that young and old alike, professionals as well as amateurs, dancers and spectators can all enjoy an ample serving of exceptional dance art.
Ronald Wintjens has created over 30 choreographies, including seven productions for a younger public. His work has been performed by a great many groups including Galili Dance, Conny Janssen Danst, Dance Group Amsterdam, Danshuis (Dance House) Station Zuid, Huis voor de Kunsten (Art House) Limburg, Olislaegers and Co., and Chameleon Dance Theater Montreux.
As of 1 June 2016, in addition to his position as general director and choreographer at SALLY, Ronald will also serve as director of the Dutch Dance Festival.
