Thibault Desaules
A professional dancer, choreographer, and dance teacher born on March 13, 1992, Thibault Desaules hailing from Neuchâtel (Switzerland). Initially trained as an upholsterer and decorator, he discovered in 2008 his passion for dance, which led him to move to Rotterdam in 2010 to study Contemporary dance at Codarts University for the Arts, where he graduated in 2014. During his final year of training, he joined Introdans Ensemble for the Youth in Arnhem. He continued his professional dance career with ICK Amsterdam for a season under the direction of Emio Greco & Pieter C. Scholten, collaborating with the Ballet National de Marseille, where he also participated in a creation with Robyn Orlin.
Thibault then danced as a freelancer at Korzo Theater in The Hague, where he worked, among others, with Samir Calixto. From January 2017 to July 2021, Thibault was part of the permanent dancer team at the Centre Chorégraphique National de Rillieux-la-Pape near Lyon. During this time, he taught Yuval Pick’s Practice Method to various audiences, from professional dancers to amateurs, ranging in age from 4 to 106 years old.
Now a freelance artist, Thibault co-directs the Compagnie Vigousse with Zoé Lecorgne, a platform where both explore and create their own works and blend
contemporary dance with artistic mediation. In 2025, Thibault will obtain his State Diploma as a Contemporary Dance Teacher.
