Martin Harriague

Martin Harriague (FR, 1986) began his professional dance career in 2007 with the Malandain Ballet Biarritz Junior. In 2008, he danced with the Ballet National de Marseille, and from 2010 to 2013 with Noord Nederlandse Dans. Since September 2013, Martin has been dancing and creating choreographies for the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company in Israel. He also directs his own ad hoc group, Compagnie XIN, in Bordeaux. For SALLY, Harriague did creative work for the Revolt and Skyline productions. In addition, during his choreographic residencies in Maastricht, he created Spectrum and Folia both of which were performed during FASHIONCLASH Maastricht.

In addition to his work as a dancer, Harriague creates his own choreographies and composes his own music. As a dancer, he has worked with world-famous choreographers such as Itzik Galili, Thierry Malandain, Emmanual Gat, Roy Assaf, Rami Be’er, Keren Levi, Stephen Shropshire, Frederic Flamand, Thomas Noone and Reut Shemesh. He has created his own work for the Ballet National de Marseille, Noord Nederlandse Dans, Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company, SALLY Dance Company Maastricht, and Scapino Ballet Rotterdam. In 2018, a new choreographic work by him will be performed by the Malandain Ballet Biarritz.

Martin has received international recognition for his work as well as various awards, including competitions in Stuttgart, Hannover and Copenhagen.
